♰ BASICS
Character's name: Takashi Mitsuya
Canon: Tokyo Revengers
Canon point: Chapter 275
Age: 18
Background: Unfinished Synoposis. The bulletpoints will continue what happens after.

•After the Valhalla fight, Mitsuya's childhood friend Hakkai ends up in a dangerous situation with his older brother Taiju, the leader of the Black Dragons. This accumulates to a fight in a church on Christmas, wherein Mitsuya opts to stand in for both Hakkai and his sister Yuzuha so they don't have to kill a member of their own family. While they all suffer severe injuries, Taiju is eventually defeated by the arrival of Mikey and Draken.

•Eventually, Toman is challenged by Tenjiku, a Yokohama-based gang led by Izana Kurokawa. In the process, Mikey's younger sister Emma dies. Mitsuya is unable to attend the eventual fight between the two gangs, as he gets jumped along with fellow captain Nahoya, resulting in them both being wheelchair-bound for the duration due to severe injuries.

•After the Tenjiku fight and deaths of Izana Kurokawa and Kisaki Tetta, Mikey decides to disband Toman, and all the captains build a time capsule to open in the future, while deciding to remain friends. However, Mikey decides that to protect everyone, they would be better off without him. This leads to him brutally beating all the members of Toman, Mitsuya included, at their usual meeting spot, before leaving. This is the last most of them see of him for about two years, in which he goes off to become the leader of the Kanto Manji Gang.

•Most of them decide to move on with their lives, pursuing their prospective careers after graduating highschool. Mitsuya still lives at home, helping with his sisters while searching for a studio to properly begin a designing career. He remains good friends with all his fellow Toman members, Draken especially, who encourages him to follow his dreams. •Unfortunately, after Takemichi decides to help Draken find Mikey, a confrontation ends with Draken protecting Takemichi and getting shot. His death sends Mitsuya on a spiral, becoming unhealthily obsessed with fulfilling his promise with the deceased Draken which results in him locking himself in his room for days on end to complete a competition piece. When the remnants of Toman attempt to recruit him in their efforts to bring back Mikey, he initially turns them down, with them coming to the show he's competing in in their own attempts to show support.

•After ruminating on the offer for a while, Mitsuya comes to the conclusion he can't just leave everyone else behind for a simple award. While he wins the competition, he rejects the award, dressed in full Toman uniform with his head shaved to display the tattoo on the side of his head. He tells the other members he'll be joining them, and eventually becomes their Team Manager and Advisor, much reflecting his role in the previous Toman.

•While nearly all the original Team Captains show up, sans a few, the number of the Second Generation Tokyo Manji is little compared to the might of the Kanto Manji. However, what they lack in number they make up in tenacity, and the tide soon turns in their favor due to the brute strength and determination the Tokyo Manji has been holding onto all these years. With some assistance from a reformed Taiju Shiba, nearly all the captains of the Kanto Manji are defeated, and a disastrous train crash orchestrated by Sanzu is averted. However, once Mikey decides to finally step down, everybody sans Takemichi finds themselves swiftly defeated.

•After regaining consciousness after being knocked out by Mikey, he returns in time to witness Takemichi going toe-to-toe with Mikey, somehow managing to avoid his blows. The origin of Mikey's changes is revealed, and he eventually gives in to his dark impulses- which results in Mitsuya being forced to witness Takemichi run straight into the katana Mikey had been wielding. His last moments before waking up in the Netherworld is watching the life drain from the other boy's eyes, the horrific pained screams of Mikey equal only to the pain in his chest echoing in his ears.

Abilities: Mitsuya is, regrettably, just a normal human being. He has no fancy powers, no special abilities, and can't sling magic. He can, however, throw a mean right hook.

♰ SUITABILITY

Strengths: If there's one thing Mitsuya is, it's stubborn. He's the type determined to see something through to the end, no matter the consequences- while he may be the first to suggest they avoid an unnecessary fight, the moment a fight does break out, he'll be the one to be there till the bitter end. Even when losing seems imminent, or he's been beaten half to death, he's the type who refuses to give up just to prove a point to those around him. While a certain friend's death broke his spirit for a while, he shows an incredible resilience, able to bounce back once a probable reason was offered. While the Netherworld may be far out of his depth, his stubbornness will offer him the survivability he might not have had otherwise....or, it may lead him to an early grave. Who knows?

Mitsuya is also level-headed, the advisor of Toman and often the one breaking up their unnecessary fights (although he will participate in a few, being a stubborn teenager himself). He's the one to try and steer them away from doing something completely stupid, scolding and offering his advice in the same vein. While he's got a foul mouth and a competitive streak like any of his friends, he's better at toning it down, having been saddled with a sense of responsibility since childhood. It made him the Toman's local voice of reason, and in Nightfell, it will likely help him learn the ropes and keep a lot of the people he knows from rushing headfirst into danger unprepared. Despite being in a gang and with a violent streak, he's a good person at his core, and would rather not get innocent people or his friends hurt unnecessarily.

Weaknesses: While on the outside, Mitsuya seems accepting of his life circumstances, but in reality he's had a long history of suffering under responsibilities. He was parentified at a young age, and he became the 'responsible' advisor of toman when it was formed, leading to most people looking to him for guidance or sensibility as the years go on. This is a lot of pressure on a young man who's been forced to be the 'adult' in his relationships since his childhood. As such, Mitsuya has a bad habit of piling things on himself and rarely speaking out about his own feelings except in special circumstances (ie. confessing to Hakkai or the effects of Draken's death). Mitsuya is the type to shoulder other people's burdens on himself, listening but not offering the full, stifling weight of his own troubles in return. This, in combination with his shadow, will likely come to harm him in the future, as he won't be too privy to discussing the effects it has on him.

Mitsuya can also have a bit of a temper. While he doesn't tend to let it show, and stifles it under his normal pacifist tendencies, he's still somewhat temperamental. If he makes too many mistakes, or if somebody he knows continuously fucks up, it can aggravate him- although he's harsher on himself than he is on others. It can be a source of distracting frustration, self-deprecating when pointed at himself, and while improvement of others can appease him in that regard, it's far harder to appease himself when he's so hard on himself. Not trying harder to reach out to Draken haunts him still, and it ended with him desperately locked in his room attempting to fulfill his promise to make it up, growing frustrated and depressed with his lack of ideas and inspiration. Should many things go wrong in the Netherworld in quick succession, it may weigh heavily on him, furthering his depression and sense of self-deprecation, resulting in him occasionally lashing out.

Fears: Mitsuya is not often scared of...much. He has no normal phobias, and tends to go with the flow. He is, however, incredible afraid of one thing- losing more of his friends or possibly his family. He's lived through the death of two friends, the betrayal of another, the life-threatening injuries of others...while he puts on a good face, it's a lot for one man to handle, and his depression has worsened as a result of losing so much in the span of a few years. His fear of this is partially when encouraged him to join up with Toman again, hoping to help keep them in line and avoid another brutal fate, despite their opponent being partial to it. He's afraid of Mikey killing someone again, afraid of watching another person close to his heart slip away, and all the cool confidence in the world can't protect him from it. He's suffered a lot of pain and injury himself, but he's bear the brunt of it if it meant he didn't have to see it happen to someone else he cares about again.

Desires: Mitsuya's greatest ambition is to become a great designer, both for his own aspirations and for the hopes placed on his shoulders by his friends. While he cares little for great accolades and awards, he wants to make beautiful things for other people to enjoy, all with his own hands. The sincere wish of his deceased best friend only lends to this.

He also deeply desires to see all of Toman brought together again, Mikey included- both for himself, for his friends, and for Draken. Toman was their life, Mikey their king, and it simply isn't the same without him by their side.

Regrets: Mitsuya, if anything, regrets not trying to keep a closer eye on Draken in the days he went searching for Mikey. Perhaps if he had, he could have prevented his friend's death, or done something more helpful than just be ignorant.

Tethers: RYUGUJI KEN - Mitsuya's best friend, sworn brother, and one of his main motivators for following his dreams. While everyone's opinions matter to him, Draken was the one he was closest to, and who's words he often took closest to heart. Even deceased, his ghost weighs heavy on Mitsuya's soul. MITSUYA LUNA - Mitsuya's younger sister. He raised her from childhood in his mother's place, due to her being a single mother who worked constantly in order to support her three children. MITSUYA MANA - Mitsuya's youngest sister. The same as above, although he was old enough when she was born that he had to carry her around in a baby sling when he was in elementary school. STUFFED RABBIT - A haphazardly stitched toy rabbit, currently inside the time capsule the Toman captains buried. It was the first thing he ever attempted to sew, a gift for his sisters who didn't often get new toys due to the family's poverty. It serves as a reminder of where he came from, and that even the biggest people have to start somewhere small.

♰ OPT-INS / OPT-OUTS
If you'd like your character to be subjected to the following options at any given time, please answer accordingly. Note that these might temporarily disrupt your established plans.

Harrowings: no
Curses/Pranks: yes
Imprisonment: yes
Encounters: yes
Loss of control: yes
NOTE: I'd be find with a random frequency for all, except for imprisonment. I'd like that to be spaced out, if possible, if the opportunity arises. I'm also fine with most things, but I've got trypophobia and also thalassophobia, so I'd rather avoid vivid descriptions of anything regarding the deep sea if possible. Small descriptions or stuff regarding drowning etc. is fine, just...not going into extreme detail about what's down there/how dark and deep it is.
